Abstract：This paper holds that, as a completely new trade means, electronic commerce puts challenges to the systems formed during the industry age. For the sake of its development, we should carry through technical innovation as well as innovation of system. And this paper also expounds that the characteristics of the network age and knowledge economy determine the pattern, mode and approach of electronic commerce.
