Abstract：Tang Dynasty was a comparatively enlightened period in the long history of China, but it also cannot free from the shade of the feudal autocracy. Under this political background, there was a special group of literati, the relegated officers. Their actions and tracks of mind revealed the fact of feudal autocracy. Their works written in their period of relegation contributed to the literary prosperity of Tang Dynasty and had great effect on the national culture and spirit.
