Abstract：This thesis makes a generalization and description on Fredric Jameson's narrative theory. First, it explains Fredric Jameson's the idea of "narrative as a socially symbotic act"; Secondly, it expoundes that Fredric Jameson's view on the historic and heterogeneous genre; At last, it demonstrates Fredric Jameson's dialectical critical mode by drawing upon ideological supression and Utopian illution in narrative text.
