Abstract：Under the special historical environment of the late Ming Dynasty, evoked by the strong Jing shi(statecraft) thought, a group scholars with foresight gathered around Chen Zi long in Songjiang and compiled Ming Jing shi Wen bian , which has an important effect on the people then and later ages. The compilation of Wen bian was attributed to the group characteristic of the age and the region then, who were mainly well educated and active members with strong Jing shi thought in Songjiang. Through the study of the compiler group, we get strong sense of Wen bian 's influence on that society and the people's Jing shi thought at that time, and we can also observe the characteristics of that age and the regional features of Jiangnan.
