Abstract：Macroeconomic policies based on spatial structure are important public policies. Either aggregate spatial pattern which pursues optimal spatial structure and development,or urban spatial developmental policy which pursues the optimal efficiency of spatial economy, is its main content.In contemporary China, there exist some problems in macroeconomic spatial policies, for example,lack of philosophic foundation on which spatial policies can be interpreted and absence of effective tools as well as continuous strategic goals for the spatial economy. This paper thinks that subjects that should be furthur investigated include microeconomic foundation of macroeconomic spatial policies, spatial relationship of benefit, effect of technological changes and economic globalization.
