Abstract：Wai Lim Yip, being a figure on the Taiwan literary world during 1960s', is a poet, critic of literature and art, professor of literature and translator. His poetry reveals delicious individuality and outstanding significance. The course of his poetry is a way from the modern times to the ancient times, from the west to the east. The significance of his poetry reflects the trend that Chinese New Poetry pursues for modernization and nationalization.
