Abstract：On analying the historical documents on the meanings of "Jing""Jing Jie" and "Yi Jing", this paper thinks that, "Jing"and"Jing Jie" sometimes could be considered very closely, and "Jing Jie" is often included in "Jing"; while "Jing jie" is quite different from them. Identifying the basic meaning of " Yi Jing" is quite important. In ancient times, "Yi Jing" was often used to refer others. "Yi Jing" only exists in literature works, while "Jing" and "Jing jie" may exist outside literature works and even outside literature.
