Abstract：Generally speaking, the conceptions of myth can be divided into two types: broad sense and narrative sense. The paper ciaims that Chinese myth is a developing system. Taoism myth is an impor-tant subordinate system to Chinese myth. It also focuses on the definition and description of Taoism myth. It conceives that Taoism myth inherited the main subjects of Chinese ancient myth, which reflect-ed in three aspects: roles, conceptions and plots. The contributions of Taoism myth to Chinese myth are the reform of ancient Chinese myth and the creation of new gods, myths and new myth motifs.
