Abstract:During the period of Nanjing Kuomingtang Government, Shanghai Bank actively participated in the construction of bank legal systems, tried to take various measures and made representations to the government through different channels, hoping to be involved in the government formulation of relevant policies. In this way it protected the legitimate rights and interests of banks and provided basis for the formulation of government financial policies and measures. Due to the different standards and principles for the construction of legal systems, there still existed many conflicts and contradictions between Shanghai Bank Association and Government though there were communications and coordinations. These in a way restricted the development of the Chinese bank constructions of legal systems in the modern times.
