Abstract:Governance is the process of cooperative management by multi-actors on the public affairs. The aim of rural governance is to build a well-off society in an all-round way. The performance evaluation of rural governance includes four aspects: the first is to measure whether the current policy and system make peasants' burden decrease and income increase; the second is to realize the status of fair distribution of social welfare; the third is to appraise villagers' public participation and political recognition to the public authorities; the fourth is to analyze the stability of social order in rural society.
