Abstract:Moral education in colleges and universities is now confronted with awkward predicaments and severe challenges, concentrating on the contradiction of instrumental values vs. valuable instruments, the contradiction of humane contents vs. scientific methods, and the social moral crisis and the individual belief crisis coming along with the world's globalization and the pluralization of values. To get out of these predicaments, we ought to change our concepts on moral education in colleges and universities and create moral education closely related to the students' real life. In practice, moral education should be life-oriented and course-centered, and school moral education should be combined with group moral education.
