Abstract：In the early July,during the organization for saving the nation of Wuxi checking and detaining merchandises,a strife happened between the organization and the local merchants.The organization claimed its office was destroyed by merchants.When two merchants were arrested by the county government,the merchants of thirteen trades began to strike after several failed pleas.Lastly,with the help of the chamber of commerce's adjudication,the Wuxi county government acceded the merchants' requirement,and the latter terminated the strike.Base on this strife, this article studies the contradiction between the anti-Japanese organization and local merchants.During the course of dealing with conflict,we also can find the important role of the chamber of commerce.
