Abstract：The paper points out that the methodological significance of panel study in social research is embodied in two aspects: first,it has the same inherent logic as experiment research,so it can analyze the causality between different phenomena;secondly,it spans a long period of time,so it can explain the change process of the phenomena.Combining with the practice of a panel study done by the author,the paper discusses the specific methods and key sector of doing panel study.
