Abstract：The claim for value-free is a viewpoint companion with dispute.In order to opposite to the liability of ideology in traditional political research and call for the scientism in political research,Behavioralism protested that value-free was not necessary,but also possible.As for this,different Behavioral politicians upheld different positions,and even the same scholar held different views in different development phases of his thought.Viewing from the history,the claim for value-free means a kind of scientism ideality.However,viewing from the reality,the claim for value-free is nothing but a kind of ideality,and it can be realized never.
