Abstract:Having studied in England,Yu Jiaju,a master in both Chinese and Western culture,devoted himself to pedagogy and psychology.He unveiled the limitation of Chinese traditional education,stating that it was a misleading conception to attach importance to the essence of knowledge without the process of acquiring knowledge.Whereas,taking into account children's dynamic nature,he advocated implementing teaching activities to unburden students.With teachers' guidance,teaching activities can take good effect combining school curriculum with extra-school activities.
