Abstract：When Gu Huan explains the Laozi,he definitudes the character of Dao from noumenon theory,not have or not nonexistence,and expounds the relationship between the Dao and the substance on the bridge of Qi.Besides,he makes the Dao come back to people according to the conception of God.His politics philosophy is on the core of inaction and emphasizes the important function of convert.He points out that the Dao of heaven constantly gives kindness,helps people to perfect their wishes,and doesn't further their vice.His statements on preserving health have two main points.The first one emphasizes the practise of the ascetics is an initiative process,and the individual should consciously gain in the Dao.The second one advocates the value of life fiercely.In the development of Daoism double metaphysics in the Eastern Jin,the Southern-Northern Dynasties and the Sui and the Tang Dynasties,Gu Huan is a connecting link between the preceding and the following.
