Abstract：The national modernization of traditional China is based on and prototyped by the household system. Since the reform and opening up， the tradition of household system has been engaged in the modernization of contemporary China in the form of modern household through household rationality， which constitutes the impression of the national modernization progression in contemporary China. This household impression， with its historical dynamism， has bred the household foundation of national modernization in contemporary China through transfer and integration of a household-based society， the superposition of the advantages of household-based economy， and the complementary development of household-based politics. In the specific historical progression， household did not hold back the modernization of China due to its traditional role， but instead， it has become the important momentum that drives China’s modernization forward along with the systematic reforms of China’s Communist Party and even evolved into an internal advantage in the national modernization of contemporary China.
