Abstract:The Western academic community has long adhered to the genre bias of “celebrating poetry while undervaluing prose”, but this does not mean that prose theory makes no progress. On the contrary, people can still explore how poetry and prose question, verify, and interpret each other from a large number of literature on poetry, thus continuously promoting the genre construction of prose itself. Its construction category involves many aspects such as the genre origin, thinking perspective, and language form of prose. Prose poetry, as a complex combination of the two, is characterized by the internal structure of “various opposites” facing each other, questioning, intersecting, and merging, ultimately forming a form of art that is both unified and rich in complexity.
