Research on differences and convergence analysis of Sichuan tourism economy

Abstract：This paper chooses 21 cities in Sichuan， using the method of Dagum Gini coefficient and its subgroup decomposition and economic growth convergence theory to investigate the difference of tourism economy from 2002 to 2017 in Sichuan from different space scale. The results show that the overall regional disparity of Sichuan tourism economy presents a decrease tendency. In regional aspect， Central Sichuan is the largest one and the smallest region is Southern Sichuan. Difference of tourism economy in Southern-Eastern and Southern-Central Sichuan is small， while difference in Eastern-Western Sichuan is relatively large. Regional difference has become the major reason for economic difference of Sichuan tourism. Convergence test showed that σ-convergence and β-convergence of Sichuan tourism economy from 2002 to 2017 is significant， but Eastern Sichuan shows σ-divergence， and absolute β-convergence is not significant in Western Sichuan.
