The research of terrain flow-model representation based on particle system

Abstract:A method for visualizing the dynamic representation of terrain undulation based on particle systems is proposed. Firstly, the flow field data is constructed using a D8 algorithm and combined with the slope and other information based on the DEM data. The particles are deployed using a combination of spatial random uniformity and important feature positions, and the particle flow scene in the undulating terrain is simulated under the support of the particle system, thus indirectly realizing the DEM dynamic multi-scale visualization. The DEM data of Wuhan City is used to conduct experiments, and the particle flow effect simulated by this method is ablre to truly reflect the terrain characteristics. This study provides a new method for the representation of DEM data.
