Abstract:In the vegetation coverage area, the reflectance spectrum characteristics of vegetation and some minerals are similar, making the mineral alteration information difficult to be extracted effectively by the conventional remote sensing alteration extraction method. Firstly, the author used linear spectral unmixing method based on Landsat8 OLI data and took grassland in the southwest Bayan Obo as research area. Then, the vegetation reflectance value and intensity were subtracted from mixing pixels to realize spectrum rebuilding of rock and soil and suppression of the vegetation disturbance. Comparing the OLI data before and after vegetation disturbance suppression, altered hydrous mineral information were further extracted using Principal Component Analysis combined with field investigation. Results showed that the linear spectral unmixing method had good validity to suppress vegetation disturbance and the remote sensing altered mineral information extracted after the suppression of vegetation disturbance was more objective in the low-medium density grassland coverage area.
