Two newly recorded thalloid liverworts in Tibet， China

Abstract：Based on the field investigation and specimens identification of bryophytes from Sygara Mountain in Tibet， China， two thalloid liverworts， Metzgeria furcata (L.) Dumort. and Blasia pusilla L.， were reported. Morphological characteristics of the two species were described， and their microscopic morphological structure photos were provided. The two liverworts are distributed worldwide， but this discovery raises the upper elevation limit of their distribution to 3,740 m for Metzgeria furcata and 3,584 m for Blasia pusilla， providing new information on the habitat of the liverworts. The voucher specimens are stored in the Herbarium of China Agricultural University (BAU).
