Abstract：A degenerate two-photon laser in detailed balance is studied. The photon statistics in the steady state and linewidth are obtained when the system operating near above the threshold and well above the threshold by means of scuUy-Lamb theory. In the later condition, the linewidth of one-photon laser is obtained. The comparison between one and twophoton shows that, the average photon number in the steady state is by far higher of the two-photon laser than of one-photon laser,and so is the linewidth.
