Abstract:The soluble protein content was detetmined, and soluble protien, peroxidase, esterase and diastase isoenzymes were identified in the extracts of callus derives from young infloroscence of Digitaria sanguinalis (L.)scop. The results are as follows: The contents of soluble protein in inducing period, proficating period and differentiating period changed in the form of "M" curves showing two peaks, one in 7th day, the other in 14th day, however, the contents kept higher during differentiating period. In the 3rd. day and 7th day of inducing perios and 3rid. to 7th day of indifferentiatng period, several new protein and isoenzymes appeared. They might play important roles in the morphological changes, and could be considered as molecular markers of the morphological changes. The metabolic activety was higher in the early stage than in the late stage of either inducing, prolificating of differentiaiting period. The electorphoretic band numbers of soluble protein, peroxidase, esterase and diastase isoenzymes, and the metabolism activity in differentating period were higher than in inducing period. And the merabolism activity in prolificating period was the lowest.
