Abstract:The weizs(?)cker-Williams approximative method is used to calculate longitudinal motion of a relativistic electron through a periodic magnetic field in the free electron laser, the calculating result shows that longitudinal motion of a relativistic electron have pendular property with location. This property have an effect on performance of the free electron laser. This paper advance measures for eliminating these effects.
