Abstract：The preparation conditions, catalytic activity of Pd/Al2O3 and the kineticof hydrogenation of cottonseed oil catalyzed by Pd/Al2O3 have been investigated. Itwas shown experimently that the PH of the impregnation solution is very importantin the effects of the catalytic activity of Pd/Al2O3 catalysts with pH=4. 5 and pH=5. 0 corresponding the minimum and maximum of the catalytic activity respectively.In addition, the kinetic equation was established as V=-d(IV)/dt=k (IV) and theactivation energy E was 21. 55 kJ. mol-1 at the experimental conditions.
