Studies on characteristics of construction land changes and its driving mechanism analysis in Yichang city influenced by the construction of the Three Gorges Engineering
Abstract：According to the socio-economic statistics and survey data(1997-2004 years),changes of quantity and regional differences of construction land in Yichang City influenced by the construction of the Three Gorges Engineering are analyzed.The paper diagnoses the driving factors of construction land changes by using correlation analysis and primary components analysis(PCA) method and discusses the driving mechanism of construction land changes.The results indicate that the general trend of construction land changes during the past 8 years was increasing and the regional differences were very notable.The changes were approximately consistent with the developing levels of regional economy.Systems of Commonality policy & social economic development and population were the change's dominating driving factors.Based on which,the forecast model of construction land changes is constructed by using multi-regression analysis method and the quantity of the construction land in 2010 is predicted,and the changing trend of the construction land structure is discussed.
