Abstract:Aiming at the problem that the key generation by optical channel characteristics is very difficult, a key generation protocol based on optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) in an indoor environment is presented, so as to improve the security of indoor visible light communication (VLC) network. This method generates keys from the bipolar OFDM samples generated by optical OFDM, assigns a portion of the cyclic prefix samples and places them in the regions with small channel influence, so as to extract the keys during the whole session. In order to provide higher physical layer security, each OFDM signal frame is encrypted by different keys. Monte Carlo simulation results show that the proposed method has higher average electrical signal-to-noise ratio and better end-to-end performance in the generation of secret keys, and it is suitable for the case of low complexity and low mismatch rate key extraction.
