Abstract:The water quality monitoring data of the Three Gorges section and Fengbogang section of Huangshi section of the Yangtze River in 2014-2018 were selected. The water quality of the two sections was determined by the traditional Nemerow pollution index method, the improved Nemerow pollution index method and the grey clustering method. The evaluation results show that the evaluation results of the traditional Nemerow pollution index and the improved Nemerow pollution index methods are both Class III, but the improved one takes the weight of each evaluation factor into account and reflects the quality of the river water more comprehensively. The grey clustering method establishes the whitening function, and determines the river water quality category according to the principle of maximum membership degree. The evaluation result is better than those of the traditional and improved Nemerow pollution index methods.
