Abstract：In this paper. by the writer. the theory and implementation for the adaptive control of the amplitude of the superimposed test excitation signal for the on-line parameter identification of time-varying systems first were given and then followed by the sufficiently favourable result of the verification simulation experiment. Design procedure was presented for convenience of use too. It is also pointed out that as a consquence of the much better time-varying system parameter identification result by the proposed method, more superior adaptive control theory and systems could thus be further established then.
