Abstract LU Ling's novels' creation firstly makes great achievements in realism. However, his creation does not limit in traditional realism. Compared to other authors of modern Chinese literature, LU Ling's novels' profound significance lies in the description of all kinds of people's life consciousness, which takes the value of life as its core. And such life consciousness embodies itself in the primitive force, the wandering feelings and the individualistic heroism. This paper tries to grasp the characteristics of LU Ling's novels; analyze the style, the forming reasons and social significance of the life consciousness on the basis of images and characters in his novels and also upwards the human being's living method that are to be reflected from the background of realistic society and western philosophy humanism in his novel creation.
