Abstract In Criticism Of Gotha Program in 1875, Marx divides the communism society into two developmental stages, which is a big leap in the cognition of the law of the development of social history. His theory remedies the defect of the former historical materialism and expounds the more profound connotation for the economic base and superstructure as well as the diversity relationship between them. And it also states that elements of the new and old social states coexist and interact in the course of the transition of social states. Meanwhile it discloses the formation is immature on the basis of the old society and the mature state can be formed on its own basis, which has greatly enriched and developed Marx's historical materialism.
