| Reflections on the Construction of An Indicator-system of Social Development in Republican China |

Abstract This article discusses various issues in the construction of an indicator system of social development in Republican China. They are concerned with the metric history and the indicator system of social development, the economic development and all sided social development, the principles of construction and the frame of reference, and the structure and contents of that indicator system.
