Abstract The revolutionary pioneer Mr. Sun Zhong shan, through the lessons of his revolutionary practice, has realized that the press has great significance. He had made exploration and given much direction to the development of the modern press in both theory and practice. Mr. Sun Zhong shan has made out a general principle to the press, which is promoting the doctrines of revolution and meantime spreading civilization. Mr. Sun Zhong shan's general scheme to press after Xinhai Revolution has become a valuable thought legacy in modern Chinese.
