| Historical and Realistic Thinking for Ruling the Nation with Virtue |

Abstract Ruling the nation with virtue is a tradition of Confucian's ethical politics. It has many scientific and rational contents but exists some defects inevitably as well. Mao Ze dong's administration practice is a good example. At the beginning of the 21th century, ruling the nation with virtue is proposed during the historical course of ruling the nation by law. To carry out the ruling, strengthening moral construction of our cadres, citizens and our systems are the three basic aspects, which are not contradictory to each other.
