Abstract By means of the motif and the analyzing methods in the field of modern folklore art, this paper gives explanation and analysis of some given examples from such aspects as: the spoken and written form of Chinese folklore stories' categories, their cultural connotation, aesthetic interest, cross-cultural comparison and their places of origin, which shows the combination of macroscopic and microscopic, mixing the positive result of sino-west story science.
