| On the Retention of Cultural Image in Translation |

Abstract Translation is a cross language and cross-cultural activity while how to tackle the cultural image is a demanding problem. In order to communicate successfully, and appropriately appreciate the foreign literary work, this paper presents a number of cultural image and illustrates its unique meaning, and the necessity of keeping them .Then it puts forward several suitably acceptable methods to deal with them.
