| On the Peaceful Movement and Social Reform in America in the end of 19th Century |

Abstract After the Civil War, the American economy was forging rapidly ahead at amazing speed and America has become a first class, powerful capitalist industry country from an agricultural country in only 30 40 years. There are many reasons for the rapid increase in American economy. Among all kinds of factors, constructing a favourable peaceful atmosphere and pushing peaceful movement forward and socil reform are important conditions for the accomplishment of the modernization of industry in America. However, this subject does not bring to the sphere of learning in China's attention over a long period of time. Peace and development are the themes of today and the research of the matter has important theory and practical significance.
