Abstract The intellectual youths novels by Zheng Yi? Zhu Xiao ping and Li Rui are mainly observation and examination on life in northern countryside and the destiny of farmers. Setting the poor countryside life as the background, the three writers describe the profound suffering and misfortune of farmers in Taihang? Luliang mountain areas, and express deep sympathy for those farmers. At the same time, they profoundly yet rationally criticize the ignorance of these farmers .The true depiction of countryside life in china and Chinese farmers' destiny give full expression to precious affinity to the people ,the profoundness of thought and the perfection of art are among the best in contemporary works of life in China.
