Abstract Righteousness is a Chinese traditional culture spirit, which combined all kinds of academic schools. It is not only the sole of chivalry in Jin Yong's novels but also lying inside deeply in the characters--the common persons and even the opposite ones of the novels.This righteousness is connected with the good or benefit of the people and the society and associated with "emotion" and "justice", which is quite different from the so called "Jianghu Yiqi".
