| On the Politial Orientation of Chinese Modern Ironic Comedy |

Abstract Since the breakthrough of Anti-Japanese War, Chines e modern ironic comedy has entered into a new period which is full of political orientation. This characteristic brings the ironic comedy then deep influence:it s display on social issues on the highly abstract basis and its various forms an d styles. At the same time, the thinking way of Great-union and the realization of comedy's being an instrument bring ironic comedy obvious historical limitati ons.
