Abstract Zhang Bo-duan annotated Lao Tse from the perspective of Taoism's theory of Xinxing and connected Lao Tse with Taoism's practice. This kind of theory not only was a new annotation and use of Lao Tse in the new historical period, but also showed the integration of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. It manifested the features of Taoism's philosophy in that time.
