Abstract Yun Dai ying's educational theory and practice in Central China University was one important aspect of his thought and revolutionary act in his early years. He stood for carrying patriotism education on students and aiming at developing students in all respects including virtue, wisdom, sports, aesthetics and labor so as to train a group of talented persons who possess new thought and will bring benefit to people and the society. For these purposes, he firmly advocated to reform the old educational contents and methods.
