| Comparison on the Funeral Rites between the Tombs of Chu and Qin in the Eastern Zhou |

Abstract The thesis compares the funeral rites between the tombs of Chu and Qin and reveals the differences and relations between them. Chu and Qin had their characteristic funeral rites. Their cultures are both influenced by Zhou culture. But they broke the fetters of Zhou systems due to their special historic background. Qin went further than Chu in this respect.
