| On the Development of the Theory on the Relationship between Body and Mind in Modern Philosophy |

Abstract This paper reviews the development of the theory on the relationship between body and mind in modern philosophy, namely, Descartes' dualistic theory, Spinoza's parallelism theory and Leibinz's theory of pre established harmony. By analyzing the reasons why these theories cannot clearly explain the relationship between body and mind, this paper aims to show the breakthrough which Marxist dialectical materialism has made on this problem.
