Abstract Many fruits in the Shih Ching study had been achieved during the period of Wei Jin and Southern Northern Dynasties, which were not only the advancement of Chinese classics research, but also the coming of the self consciousness period in literature. In this period, the Shih Ching study paid more attention to lyricism than moralism of Qin and Han Dynasty. The paper discusses the Shih Ching study from the point of view of Chinese classics research scholar, literary critics and other people.
