| Performance and Stakeholder Analysis on Decentralization of Environmental Governance in Rural China--Concepts,Background and Case Study in Yunnan,China |

Abstract This paper summarized the general trends of the dec en tralization of environmental governance in rural China, following the analysis o f the international concept on governance and stakeholder. Through the case stud y in a watershed governance in Yunnan, China, it analyzes and assesses the perfo rmance, pattern, and extent of village participation of the decentralization of environmental governance. And it raises several issues related to the decentrali zation in China.
