Abstract As an old-time tea-producing area, YangLouDong lie s in the southeast of Hubei Province and borders of Hunan Province. Involved into the system of modern capitalist world, the tea-making handicraft workshops got the booming development at the large-scale for domestic and international mark et. And the vigorous growth of tea-industry had exerted a deep influence on eco nomic and social development in the local and adjacent region: promoting the div ision of labor, specialized production and the overall development of the rural industries, making great progress on modern machine industry and urbanization, f orming the economic structure of association of market towns where a manufacturi ng town was relatively separated with a collecting and distributing port.
