| Study on the Legal Protection of Traditional Knowledge |

Abstract The value of traditional knowledge has been increacingly realized and it has been widely used with the development of modern science and technology. More and more holders of traditional knowledge, such as some communities, nations and countries esp. developing countries, require strongly to legally protect their traditional knowledge. But it is difficult to protect traditional knowledge with modern intellectual property system owing to its long history and collective creativity and oral spread. In this case, it is necessary to explore other laws to protect traditional knowledge based on the practice of protection with modern intellectual property system, and this paper puts forward some policies to protect traditional knowledge for China.
