Abstract The deity of art derived from the religion in the pre-modern times. With the religion's decline, "genius" and the secular political power took the place of religion as it's new deity. But, since the 20th century, with the change of culture, the rapid decline of traditional humanities and art culture, and the disintegration of the old elite culture stratum, art's cult value (Kul twert) came to an end at last.
